Terms and Conditions

By supplying GS1 New Zealand with samples for verification, you agree to pay the costs of verification reports. A tax invoice for all completed verification reports will be sent out at the end of each month. You agree to pay this invoice in full by the 20th of the following month.

GS1 NZ reserves the right to withhold samples sent in for verification, before they have been through the verification process, if you have an overdue account. In this instance, samples will be verified as soon as the overdue account has been settled.

GS1 NZ reserves the right to increase the price of verification reports and change the number of free verification reports a member company receives as part of their membership, at any time.

Verification reports will be sent to you by either email or fax. GS1 NZ will only post or courier verification reports to you where the aforementioned methods are unavailable. Please note, you may be required to pay any charges associated with sending the verification reports via post or courier.

GS1 NZ does not return, nor pay for, samples sent in for verification, unless it is otherwise specifically stated. If you would like the samples returned, you must provide means of returning the samples. This can be in the form of return courier tickets, return courier bag, postage paid envelope, organising for a courier to collect the samples, or personally collecting the samples for the GS1 NZ head office in Wellington. All failed samples that were not requested to be returned are kept for seven days from the date the report was issued. After seven days, the samples are disposed of accordingly. NOTE: Samples that pass verification that were not requested to be returned will be disposed of accordingly ASAP.

Verification reports must not be altered in any way. Once a verification report has been written, the results are final and your trading partners' decision to accept or reject the product, based on the verification report, is out of GS1 NZ's hands. GS1 NZ will not try to persuade your trading partners to accept the product; this is your responsibility,.

GS1 NZ will not be made liable for any errors made during the verification process, resulting in incorrect results being stated on the verification report.

GS1 NZ has the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.
