Membership Information

To take advantage of our standards and services you need to become a member of GS1 NZ.

Put Bar Codes on your Products

To apply GS1 bar codes to your products, you must be a GS1 member. GS1 bar codes are only authentic if they are based on numbers obtained directly from GS1 and if they are compliant with GS1 standards. Learn more about bar codes.

You have two membership options:

Full Membership

Get a Global Location Number(s) for your Company

Global Location Numbers (GLN) can be used to identify physical locations, legal entities or a function within a legal entity. Learn more about GLNs.

You have two membership options:
Full Membership

When you become a full member of GS1 NZ you receive five free GLNs.

If you would like to access bar codes and GLNs at the same time click here.

If you would like to access just GLNs without bar codes fill out this form.

One Number Membership (Must have less than one million dollar annual turnover)

You can access a single GLN for $129.00 + GST - join online.

 

Access to GS1net

GS1net is a data synchronisation service offered by GS1 NZ. It is the data pool used by New Zealand and Australian businesses to exchange standardised and synchronised supply chain data with their trading partners. In simple terms, GS1net allows you to share your item and pricing information with your retailers. Learn more about GS1net.

One of the first steps to registering for the GS1net service is signing up as a full member of GS1 NZ. (One Number Members cannot access GS1net.)

Access to ProductRecallnz

ProductRecallnz, is a secure online web-based service that enables registered companies to create, approve and issue recall and withdrawal notifications to their trading partners. Learn more about ProductRecallnz.

One of the first steps to registering for the ProductRecallnz service is signing up as a full member of GS1 NZ. (One Number Members cannot access ProductRecallnz.)
