GS1net Implementation Services
GS1 Professional Services team offer a number of services to assist companies with their GS1net implementation projects. Regardless of the size of your company, you can take advantage of the vast experience, expert guidance, and independent advice the Professional Services team has to offer, in ensuring your Data Synchronisation projects are delivered within scope, minimised time, and cost to become GS1net Ready.
The GS1net implementation services offered are compromised of Pre-Implementation and Core services for use during your implementation project.
Please Note: You must select a "Core" Implementation service for each customer you wish to synchronise your GS1net catalogue with. Once you are using GS1net with your first customer any costs associated with these services significantly reduces and takes into account your GS1net experience and how you are connected to GS1net.

GS1net Education and Training Session
This is a “Pre-Implementation” service offering which provides an introduction to GS1net and covers the following key topics:

An introduction to the online system

Key GS1net concepts
-
Benefits and costs
-
GS1net and GDSN data attributes
-
Current community status and requirements
-
Data Uploads and maintenance methods
Sessions can also be tailored to support the training of your GS1net team members and users on how to use GS1net within their respective roles.
This type of session is predominantly used prior to a project being formally kicked-off. It is also often repeated in a tailored fashion for your GS1net users prior to becoming GS1net Ready for your customer(s) or on an ongoing basis if you have staff changes.
Benefits:

Provides a baseline understanding of GS1net for key company sponsors, stakeholders, and relevant company roles

Allows you to make informed decisions surrounding your GS1net strategy and tactics

Ensures staff working with GS1net on a day - to - day basis have the required knowledge to perform their duties.
Duration: normally half day
GS1net Data Collection Workshop
This is a "Pre-Implementation" service designed for companies that have typically less than 200 GTINs and where the responsibility for GS1net will reside with one or two staff members. The workshop provides a base understanding of GS1net and commences the data collection activities. The following key topics are covered:

This session is often used as a means of kick starting the work required to become GS1net Ready.

GS1net Requirements Definition Workshop
This "Pre-Implementation" service is designed for companies of any size wishing to formalise their GS1net project to help ensure success. Aimed at key project stakeholders and potential project resources, the workshop provides a detail understanding of the requirements to become GS1net Ready. The workshop provides the following:

GS1net key concepts - recap

Analysis of current status of applicable business processes and data environment

Identification of high level data and business process gaps

GS1net project tasks and milestones

Resource planning

GS1net milestones

Resource allocation and planning recommendations

Following the one day workshop, a report summarising the results of the workshop is provided to the customer. This session is often used prior to a project being formally kicked off.

Duration: one day
GS1net Data Gap Analysis
This service is designed for companies who want to assess your trading partners GS1net data requirements against the data they currently have within their business.
This type of session is often used very early on in the project to determine the magnitude of data gaps that need to be closed, which strongly impacts the amount of work required. A detailed Data Gap report will be provided.

Understand the magnitude of the data collection and cleansing task

Make the right decisions to close any gaps and understand any impact to long term sustainability and data quality
Duration: half day
GS1net Essential
This service is offered during the Implementation phase of the GS1net project. It provides the minimum level of GS1 support required to become GS1net Ready for each of your customers. The following components are included:

Access to the GS1net help-line

Distribution for GS1net reference documentation

Post registration “Project Start-Up" meeting
-
Access to weekly remote training sessions
-
Two data validations with supporting corrective action report

GS1net Ready review and sign - off
In order to become GS1net Ready for each of your trading partners, each GS1net supplier must select this service level as a minimum requirement. This minimum requirement also extends to each customer you wish to become GS1net Ready for, i.e. you need to sign again for your second and third trading partner. See: GS1net Essential Order Form.

Please note: there is an Extended Essential offering (see below) that provides more flexibility to how you utilise GS1’s support for the components included.
GS1net Extended Essential
GS1net Extended Essential is an enhanced version of the generic GS1net Essential offering (see above). This offering is normally used by organisations that are confident they can perform the GS1net work themselves but require one point of contact and additional flexibility on how and where they engage with the GS1net team.

Includes all the components of GS1net Essential with added flexibility - e.g. on site kick - off, training, and data validations

if you prove to require less support than average then this option could be more cost effective for you.

GS1net Fast Track
This service is designed for companies that need help becoming GS1net Ready in the shortest time possible. A member of the GS1net team will visit you on-site to deliver the following:

Prepare your catalogue

Populate your data into GS1net

Train key staff on how to use and maintain GS1net
-
Sign - off of GS1net Ready status
Please note this service is based on collecting and maintaining the data using our formatted spreadsheet tool called the Browser Template. It does not involve adding to, or cleansing of, any data within your internal systems. The time it takes us and the cost to you depends on the number of products within your catalogue and your customer's data requirements.

GS1net Implementation Assistance
This service offering is specifically tailored to those companies who need to engage expert, experienced, and knowledgeable resources within GS1 Professional Services team during their GS1net Implementation project.The Professional Services team can assist you with some or all of the implementation activities, encompassing the following offerings:

The Professional Services team can either guide you through the process using our Project Coordination Program, or be an active member of your project team. GS1net team would provide both functional and technical assistance and specific project deliverables. Our considerable experience will reduce your overall project timeframe and costs, and ensure your data synchronisation is a sustainable process.

GS1net Connectivity Package
This service is designed to provide a suite of services to support a company wishing to upload data to GS1net using electronic files in GS1net Data Delimited File (DDF) or Extensible Mark - up Language (XML) formats and are not using GS1net Certified Middleware. The package also supports companies wishing to send these files to GS1net on a machine - to - machine basis (M2M).
This is a mandatory service if you are connecting to GS1net using XML or DDF and not using GS1net Certified Middleware. The following components are included:
