Up to military standard
GS1 standards and solutions play a major role in the New Zealand Defence sector, in particular its procurement, logistics and asset tracking activities. Internationally, GS1 standards are endorsed by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO).
GS1 standards helps NATO achieve:
- interoperability and compatibility,
- reduced duplication of effort,
- use of civil standards,
- control of procurement costs.
