Gs1 New Zealand offers the Bar
Code Foundation and GS1net Foundation seminars as part of its regular
seminar programme. These are held in Auckland, Wellington &
Christchurch at least three times per year and other regions as demand
dictates.
The Bar
Code Foundation seminar is a half day event and aimed at
recent new members to GS1. This seminar is the essential toolkit
to understanding, using, printing, and designing bar codes and will improve
your knowledge of bar code management and standards plus help to ensure
your products can be smoothly handled by everyone involved in getting
them to market.
New members to GS1 receive a complimentary voucher valid for one year,
valued at $199 to attend this seminar.
The GS1net
Foundation seminar is slightly short of a full day event
and particularly important for Foodstuffs suppliers given GS1net is the
solution Foodstuffs have selected to receive product data from their suppliers.
This seminar is aimed at organisations moving towards electronic data
sychronisation cataloguing which will eventually eliminate use of the
Universal Buying Form (UBF). The seminar is very worthwhile for anyone
wanting to get a base level understanding of what the concept of data
synchronisation is all about and how the tool - GS1net - can be
implemented to help improve the relationship with your customers.
